Video evidence is being sought by the family of Maryam Suleman being maltreated and assaulted by a staff of Tema Branch of Passport Office where she went to renew her passport.
The Suleman’s are requesting that citizens with any video of Maryam’s ordeal in the hands of that mannerless woman-beater staffer last Wednesday at the Tema branch of Passport Office to come forward for a handsome reward.
She said her only crime was that she went to renew her passport.
‘I’m a Ghanaian by birth. Born and bred in Ghana. And have leaved in Ghana throughout my life. I don’t know anywhere apart from Ghana. But got beaten to for trying to renew my passport.’ She re-counted.
According to her, without any judicial authority questioning her nationality, a staffer at the Tema Office of Ghana Passport Office proceeded to manhandled her without provocation.
Maryam says last Wednesday when she was being assaulted at the Tema Passport office, she saw some people around capturing the incident with their mobile phones.
The victim’s family is offering a Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) reward for any video evidence of the assault that could be useful to her legal team.
“We are calling on the public to provide video details of this incident ie perpetrator beating/manhandling Maryam Suleman at the Tema Passport Office to WhatsApp contacts 050 351 9546 and 0264886242 for appropriate action’.
The USD 5K reward however will be based on the first person to submit the video.
