Dr Lawrence says Nana doesn’t deserve Ghanaians’ votes

President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu-Addo

A National Democratic Congress Activist based in the United State of America, Dr Lawrence Appiah, said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo doesn’t deserve votes from Ghanaians again as he goes to December 2020 election for second term.

Nana Akufo-Addo will be contesting under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), but Dr Lawrence thinks Ghanaians have no reason to re-elect him.

He said Ghanaians should base their votes on past record and ability to deliver.

When it comes to creating a new term or slogan to cover an incompetence and insensitivity, the NPP is the Master of It. Teachers are on strike and for them to cover up their failures, they have come up with the term “legacy debt” The purpose of the term “legacy debt” is to let Ghanaians know that the debt was from a previous government and they are the first in this republic to inherit a debt from a previous government. But in 2015/16, didn’t Nana Addo promise teachers that he will pay all their arrears? So where from the term, “legacy debt” and why do they pride themselves of paying 90%. ALL is not equal to 90%. Can the NPP tell us what their “legacy assets” are or they don’t have any?

As soon as the news came up that the teachers will be going on strike, we heard the sector minister, Napo, saying the teachers’ strike is NDC motivated. He went ahead to ask that how come the debt was from 2012 but the teachers didn’t go on strike to demand their money. Any analyst will know right away that, Napo cannot lead the discussion to find a solution to the problem. Seriously, I don’t know why Napo is still a minister in this “competent” government.

Then came the Chairman of the GES Council, Mr. Micheal Nsowah, who said if the teachers don’t go to school, he will recruit new teachers in their place. It is like there is no competent and reasonable person associated with this government. This government is shamelessly supervising an education policy that is “putting” money in the pockets of parents of these children when the teachers, who are teaching these same children are on strike for non-payment of arrears. Does this make sense to you? Good Professors and Chiefs who joined this government have all become “someway”

At the time of going to the press, the National Labor Commission (NLC) had taken the Teachers’ Unions to court. They’ve been ordered to go to school. What the NLC has done is like forcing the horse to the riverside. Whether they can again force the horse to drink the water is another issue. I will advise the NLC that if it is possible, they should withdraw the case from court and humbly engage the teacher unions. This government has no sense to solve any problems. Therefore, they quickly bring NDC into any challenges that come their way, three years of being in office. You just wonder why they are in government. It is like, they don’t know why Ghanaians voted for them. I will change my citizenship, if Ghanaians vote for them again in 2020. They are so clueless, incompetent and shameful.

This teachers’ strike has exposed the Nana Akufo-Addo’s 125 family and friend’s government. They have reached the end of their usefulness to the people of Ghana. One day in office after January 07, 2021 will be catastrophic for Ghana and hell will even be an enjoyable place to live. Nana Addo was sleeping and as soon as he woke up, he said, “give me four more years to complete my projects” What a disappointing government.
