The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has urged party members to remain vigilant and diligent in their efforts to unseat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections.
Speaking at the NDC’s 2024 campaign launch in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, Kwetey emphasized the importance of hard work and determination to achieve victory.
“Taking NPP out won’t be easy because they know that they will be prosecuted by the NDC when they lose the election,” Kwetey stated. He highlighted that the NPP, seeking to avoid accountability, would resort to any means necessary to retain power. “They are going to do everything possible to steal the votes, so we need to be extra vigilant.”
Kwetey’s message was clear: the road to victory is challenging, but the NDC is committed to delivering on its promise to the electorate. “The job ahead is not an easy job, but we promise you we shall deliver,” he assured the enthusiastic crowd.
The campaign launch in Tamale saw a large turnout of NDC supporters, who were energized by Kwetey’s rallying cry. The event marked the official start of the party’s efforts to galvanize support across the country, with a focus on addressing key issues such as accountability, governance, and the well-being of Ghanaians.
As the NDC gears up for the crucial election, Kwetey’s call to action serves as a reminder of the importance of unity, vigilance, and perseverance in the quest to bring about change and hold the NPP accountable for it’s tenure.
