Kastle FM, a subsidiary of Fedkastle Multimedia, has been honored with the “Radio Station of the Year” award at the fourth edition of the “Osabarima Royal Awards.” The event, organized by the Oguaa Traditional Council, recognizes individuals and businesses contributing to the growth and sustainability of Cape Coast, as well as promoting its culture and tourism.

The award ceremony took place at the Emintamdze Palace on Saturday, January 20, with various individuals and companies receiving accolades for their significant contributions to the development of Cape Coast.

Kastle FM was lauded for its outstanding contribution through the popular Asankamu food festival, an annual event that promotes Cape Coast’s culture, music, and culinary heritage. Over the past three years, the festival has become a major attraction, drawing participants from around the world.

Being situated in Cape Coast for the past three years, Kastle FM has actively projected the city through diverse initiatives, leading to the Traditional Council acknowledging the company’s impact by presenting them with the prestigious award.
Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, the Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area, expressed gratitude to individuals and organizations like Kastle FM for their efforts in promoting Cape Coast. He emphasized the need for collective action to showcase the positive aspects of Cape Coast to the world.

Osabarima Atta II believes that initiatives like Kastle FM’s dedication to promoting Cape Coast will attract investors, contributing to addressing unemployment challenges in the region. The awards scheme was instituted to recognize and appreciate those actively involved in the development of Cape Coast.

Kastle FM, aside from winning this significant award, has previously received several accolades in various categories, further enriching its list of achievements.
