Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) armed bandits unleashed mayhem on Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) who visited his church in the area in the early hours of Monday to demand for building permit. in the early hours of yesterday, injuring at least one person and smashing several vehicles.
According to officials of the TWMA, it was part of their routine activities, which they do in the company of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to inspect building permits, but the hostile boys of the man of Francis Antwi otherwise known as Reverend Obofour beat them to a pulp without provocation.
A staff of the Assembly who videoed the incident, said the irate boys used various life-threatening objects on the officials and in the process injured some of them at Shalom Spot in Community 18 where the church is located.
“The Finance Officer, the Chief Executive Officer and the Municipal Engineer were all beaten. The phone of the Municipal Engineer was smashed…the Assembly vehicle windscreen was also smashed. It was a very bad incident to experience. Knives were drawn here, sticks and others. No one was spared the beatings of Obofour’s boys”, the staff narrated in the video.
The matter has since been reported to the police who are said to be investigating the matter though an arrest is yet to be made.
A police complaint was later made by the Assembly to the Sakumono Police Station who took up the matter and arrested five of the bandits.
