In a stunning declaration that has left the community of Gbrumani buzzing, the Chief, Naa Mohammed Abdulai, has invoked the wrath of the gods against anyone who dares to vote for the opposition in the upcoming December 7 general elections. The fiery outburst came during a visit from the Tolon Member of Parliament (MP), Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, who is seeking re-election under the banner of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Whoever fails to vote NPP come December 7 from this community, may the gods kill you,” the Chief thundered, leaving no room for doubt about where his loyalties lie. He didn’t stop there. In a chilling curse aimed at female voters, he warned, “Any woman who votes for the NDC and goes to the river to fetch water, may the river kill her!”
The Chief’s drastic pronouncement has sent shockwaves through the Gbrumani community, with many now fearing not just political defeat, but divine retribution should they back the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Naa Mohammed Abdulai’s justification for calling down the wrath of the gods? According to him, the NPP, particularly the efforts of MP Habib Iddrisu, has brought unprecedented development to the area. From roads to schools, the Chief claims that the transformation under the current MP has been nothing short of miraculous. “With the kind of work the MP and the NPP have done in this community, our gods will give them victory come December 7,” he declared confidently.
The Chief added that the community had been sidelined for years under the NDC and that anyone voting for the opposition would be casting a vote for continued neglect. “The NDC has done nothing for us. Why would anyone want to vote for a party that abandoned us?” he asked the crowd, urging them to unite behind the NPP.
The Chief also heaped praise on NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, calling him the man with the vision to lead Ghana into the future. “If you sit with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and he speaks to you, you will realize that the man has a great vision for the country. I believe he’s the best person to lead Ghana.”
As the elections draw closer, tensions in Gbrumani are undoubtedly set to rise. With the Chief’s fiery warning ringing in their ears, will the people dare defy the gods and vote for NDC? Or will the NPP march to victory on the strength of divine intervention?
Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure—this election season just got a whole lot hotter!
