Last Friday, October 20, 2023, a remarkable moment unfolded as over one thousand newly graduated individuals were ordained and called to the Ghanaian Bar. The prestigious event took place at the Accra International Conference Center.

Her Ladyship, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, J.S.C, the Chief Judge, offered invaluable guidance and counsel to the freshly minted lawyers. She encouraged them to steadfastly uphold the ethical standards of the legal profession and to conduct themselves in a manner that befits a legal practitioner.
This significant occasion marked the 60th induction durbar, a longstanding tradition that has endured since the establishment of the Ghana School of Law. The ceremony was a celebration of the hard work and dedication of 1,097 new lawyers who had successfully navigated the rigorous bar exams at the Accra International Conference Centre.

In her address to the newly minted lawyers, Justice Torkornoo emphasised the critical role that integrity will play in shaping their success in their legal careers. It is a reminder that ethical conduct is the cornerstone of the legal profession, and it is through unwavering integrity that these new lawyers will make their mark in the field of law.
