Massive underground maneuvers by the leadership of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to galvanise support for partisan election of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive in in the upcoming referendum slated for December 17.

Sponsored poster by NCCE

While political parties, particularly the main opposition and governing platforms, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC), are still trying to get their acts together on how to navigate Ghana’s political terrain to emerge victorious in referendum, the NCCE seems to have gone beyond their role of educating the citizens for them to decide on their own whether to vote YES or NO but have decided to inform the people to vote YES. The NCCE in a campaign poster, have clandestinely endorse the ‘YES’ campaign spearheaded by President Akufo-Addo and the leadership of New Patriotic Party, saying, they want to give power to the people.

The National Democratic Congress is busily campaigning against what they termed politicization of local governance.
