Members of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Milton-Keynes Chapter in the United Kingdom, led by the Chapter Chairman, Richmond Mensah (Dr. Richy) in a company of the Chapter’s Women Organizer, Miss Shirley Kyei donated three motorbikes, 5 bicycles, and an undisclosed amount of cash to the Bawku Central Constituency of the NPP.

Dr. Richy said at the presentation of the items that they were Milton-Keynes’ Chapter own contributions to facilitate the campaign of the New Patriotic Party and Parliamentary Candidate in the Bawku Central Constituency.

At the presentation of the items, Richmond said they Chapter had promised to assist the party with two motorbikes but, however, he (Richard) decided to increase the bikes to three due to the enormous pressure required to drive a successful parliamentary and presidential campaign.

Shirley, the Chapter’s Women Leader, praised the integrity and resourcefulness of the NPP Parliamentary candidate, saying the Chapter was encouraged to adopt and support the candidate because they believe she would fulfill her promise to win the seat for the NPP. She revealed the Chapter’s to register one thousand residents on the National Health Insurance Scheme in the coming days.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Constituency, the Parliamentary Candidate, Agbanwa Gabiyana Abugri, said the kind gesture was a demonstration that the Milton-Keynes Chapter has accepted and keyed into the Bawku Central Project.

According to Mr. Mensah, the UK Branch of the Party has always played a vital and active role in complementing the efforts of the party in every election.

He said, they always return home to support a few constituencies.

The Hawk Newspaper can report authoritatively that the United Kingdom Branch of the Governing New Patriotic Party has adopted twenty Constituencies to support for the 2020 polls, and Bawku Central is one of those Constituencies.

Gabiyana Abugri, the Parliamentary Candidate warmly welcomed the team home.

She appreciated them for coming to Ghana amidst the COVID-19 restrictions and challenges.

“We thank you for committing your resources and time, you have shown to us that you are loyal to the party.

“You are so much interested in the party that governs us in Ghana. Therefore, your being here personally has shown to us that you are passionate about the Bawku Central Project,” she said.

She assured the donors that the Constituency would put the items into judicious use.

Other prominent members of the delegation at the presentation were Georgina Ayamba the Upper East Regional Women Organizer, Yussif Musah Seidu, Bawku Central Constituency Chairman, Ustarz Jibril Umar, MASLOC Coordinator, Hamid Samed, NPP Activist, and a cross-section of the Constituency Executives.

Chairman Richmond told The Hawk in an exclusive chat that this is the second time the Milton-Keynes Chapter is supporting the Constituency.

He said, before this donation, the Chapter had donated two motorbikes plus ten thousand to support the day to day running of the Constituency Office
