Yaro Kasambata has questioned the validity of the purported list of minority members of parliament and aficionados of former President John Dramani Mahama to the effect that they have raised over GH¢600,000 in cash through the fundraising efforts to support his comeback.
This follows the public issuance of a disclaimer by a former National Petroleum Authority Director of Communications, Yaro Kasambata that his name has been captured but he has made no such pledge or intends to any time soon.
MPs For Mahama led by Kunbumgu MP, Ras Mubarak claimed to have initially targeted 420 people to raise a 1000 cedis each but due to over subscription, they have hit 600 people.
Mr Kasambata has however, in a disclaimer shared with a public audience on facebook said the public should ignore the list as he knows nothing about it.
“I wish to state categorically that I am not part of any group of volunteers who are raising GHC420, 000 as filing fees of H. E. John Mahama.” he wrote.
“Kindly ignore any list of names in circulation which purports to include me as volunteer or fundraiser.” he added for the avoidance of doubt.
