Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

The Ajumako Enyan Essiam branch of the New Patriotic Party has vehemently rejected and refuted the allegations that delegates booed and sacked the Vice President’s campaign team. The claims were based on a video circulating on social media, but according to the party’s Constituency Secretary, John Yanney, the video is a fabrication containing misleading information.
In reality, Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia received a warm and enthusiastic welcome in Ajumako Enyan Essiam, and his message of hope resonated well with the delegates. The incident captured in the video occurred when Kofi Nyarko, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, was introduced by the Master of Ceremonies during the program. Some few party members reportedly booed the DCE, but the party leadership swiftly condemned such behaviour and offered apologies to the DCE for the unfortunate incident.
The Vice President’s speech was described as touching and inspiring, earning him a standing ovation from the delegates. His display of sterling leadership qualities and the delivery of a measured and reconciliatory message were highly commended. Consequently, the delegates pledged their unwavering support and votes for the Vice President.
Constituency Secretary, John Yanney, commended Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for maintaining a decent and reconciliatory approach throughout his campaign. He urged the Vice President to continue in this manner in his future engagements.
In an effort to clarify the situation, the party has shared the original videos of both the introduction of the Vice President and the incident involving the DCE.
The Ajumako Enyan Essiam branch of the New Patriotic Party has reiterated its unwavering support for the Vice President, firmly asserting that the video circulating on social media is a misrepresentation of the events that occurred during the visit.
