The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie South, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi, has raised alarm over fraudulent Facebook accounts bearing his name, which scammers are using to swindle innocent Ghanaians under the guise of offering job opportunities.
In a stern disclaimer issued by the DCE, he vehemently denied any involvement in such illicit activities and clarified several key points. Firstly, he stressed that he has not authorized or engaged any individuals to collect money on his behalf for job placements or any other purposes.
Furthermore, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi emphasized that he does not own or operate any recruitment agency, nor does he provide recruitment services of any kind. His primary roles are serving as the District Chief Executive and practicing as a lawyer.
The DCE made it clear that he has never solicited or accepted money from anyone with the promise of securing employment opportunities. He urged the public to disregard any communication or messages claiming to be from him offering job placements in exchange for payment.
To distinguish genuine communication from fraudulent attempts, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi highlighted that all his official social media accounts are verified. Any messages or solicitations from unverified accounts should be treated as fraudulent and reported immediately.
The DCE urged the public to remain vigilant and cautious of such scams, advising them to report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. He warned against falling victim to these scams and emphasized the importance of verifying the authenticity of any job offers or communications received online.
