Ford Suprerio

Nana Owusu Fodjour, famously known as Ford Superior, a former Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has taken to social media to air his frustrations over the disheartening treatment he has received from those he once supported.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Ford Superior lamented how individuals he once helped have now turned their backs on him. A key figure in the party’s machinery, he has a storied history of service, rising through the ranks from Polling Station official to Regional Youth Organizer, and working closely with several influential figures at the helms of affairs today.

Reflecting on his past contributions, Ford Superior expressed his disappointment with the lack of reciprocity from those he aided. He recalled assisting government appointees with everything from necessities like rice and clothing to paying school fees and providing political mentorship. Despite his past support, he now struggles to get even a response to his calls.

In his poignant post, he shared his reflections on loyalty, truthfulness, good-heartedness, selflessness, and perseverance. He lamented the changes that power and position can bring and urged the younger generation to learn from his experiences.

“Reflections of a Loyal Heart”
“As I sit in solitude, memories of my good old days flood my mind. It’s disheartening when younger ones remind me of the sacrifices I made for others. I recall how current government appointees would come to me for assistance – a bag of rice here, a helping hand there. I fed and clothed some, paid school fees for others, and even mentored them in politics.

But now, they don’t even answer my calls. It’s a harsh reality check on how positions can change people, making them heartless and ungrateful. I pray that the younger generation will see beyond this and learn from my positive attributes:

• Loyalty: I stood by those I believed in, through thick and thin.
• Truthfulness: I spoke my mind, even when it was hard.
• Good-heartedness: I helped those in need, without expecting anything in return.
• Selflessness: I put others’ needs before mine.
• Perseverance: I remained committed to my values, despite challenges.
Let my story be a lesson to the youth: true character shines brightest when power and positions are absent. Hold onto your values, and never let success change your heart.”
Ford Superior’s post serves as a powerful reminder of the values of integrity and humility, urging those in positions of power to remember their roots and stay true to their principles.
