Late Marlon Praise Anipa, former DEC Guan District
The Dean of Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Oti Region, Hon. Francis Kofi Okesu, on Tuesday, said Marlon Praise Anipa died after a brief illness in Hohoe.
The late District Chief Executive of the recently inaugurated Guan District would turn 57 on December 3, 2021.
He said, their colleague had earlier received the Regional Minister in his District, and went round with him to some selected examination centers across the District in the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) and ended at midday on Monday.
He however took ill late hours on the same day and was rushed to the Hohoe Municipal Hospital where he died.
According to him, Regional Minister received a phone call from the Guan District Coordinating Director at about 5AM today Tuesday informing him about sad news.
Late Anipa, whose nomination was confirmed some eleven days ago, officially started work on Monday, November 15.
Praise Anipa, a Specialist Consultant, was the first District Chief Executive of the newly created Guan District.
A part from his service to the UK Branch of the New Patriotic Party, he also represented the NPP in the Hohoe Constituency as it’s Parliamentary Candidate in the 2016 general elections.
The late Anipa is survived by his wife, Mrs Stacy Anipa, two sons Kelvin and Robben Anipa.
