Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa-Mensah
According to Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa, he abandoned Julius Debrah’s TV XYZ over lack of pay. He says, the media organization couldn’t keep to their share of the bargain.
He explained that he accepted the role based on his personal relationship with the founder of the station and former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, and not because he was been spoilt with money and goodies.
Kwame Afrifa-Mensah was responding to what he described as bunch of lies told the National Security Minister about him aimed at denting his reputation on his private podcast dubbed The Records.
He revealed that he was not paid the agreed sum before he took up the job. Neither was he given any car or house.
‘I have not taken any car or house from anyone’. You couldn’t even pay my monthly maintenance allowance, how much more a house’. He fumed.
He said, he didn’t join the network because he was a protégé of John Mahama. Instead, he did because of his friendship with Julius Debrah.
He has thus cautioned the former Chief of Staff and his proxy warriors to stay clear off his back or he would be forced to come muddy the waters.
The Agona Bonfa Chief, has thrown the gauntlet to Julius Debrah and his boys to go to court if they feel he has taken something unlawfully from them.
This raises questions about the undisclosed information Afrifa has concerning the Former Chief of Staff, to the extent that he felt compelled to publicly warn him against making false accusations.
