In response to the community, KAF made a donation of 3,000 bottles of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, 20 Veronica buckets with 20 buckets stand, 160 boxes of detergents and 5 boxes of tissue, 150 boxes of face masks, and 5 boxes of gloves to the Anomabo Health Center.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Peter Mensah said “it is our responsibility as NGO in the community to ensure good hygiene practices and sanitary conditions in the community to avert the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.

The gesture was the Foundation’s contribution towards cushioning the effect of the measures to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country.

“Even as we ensure the observance of social restrictions at this critical time, we are not losing sight of the need to support the less privileged.

“We, therefore, deemed it necessary to reach out to the many of whom are from poor backgrounds and require support in the form of food items”

He said the items which will include packs of rice, cooking oils and can fish, “would be a simple gesture to show compassion and put smiles on the faces of people in the community.”

He advised members of the public to ensure precautionary measures against coronavirus, including hand hygiene, social distancing, and avoiding crowded spaces, among others.

Reacting, the Physician Assistant in Charge of Anomabo Health Center Joel Fritz Plange stated: on behalf of the facility and beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the foundation and said their “doors are always open for more.” He also promised to make good use of the items.

On his part, the Guantuahene of Anomabo Traditional Area, Nana Owiansah (V), entreated the Assembly members of the area to ensure that the Veronica buckets are always filled with water to serve the purpose for which the items were procured. According to him “if you fall short of this responsibility, you will be called to the Palace to answer.”
