In a jaw-dropping political showdown, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries and a former die-hard fan of Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has unleashed a brutal tirade against the ex-Trades Minister. Kofi Jumah, now firmly in President Akufo-Addo’s camp, didn’t pull any punches as he blasted Kyerematen for his audacious move to ditch the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and run as an independent candidate under the Movement for Change banner.

When asked about Kyerematen’s shock exit from the NPP, Jumah didn’t mince words, suggesting his old ally might need a serious reality check. “Alan must have his brains examined!” he declared, indicating that Kyerematen’s judgment is seriously questionable after abandoning the party that made him a star.

Jumah’s searing comments come as the NPP faces a tumultuous time ahead of the 2024 elections. He cynically remarked that “if you’re in the NPP and your brains are crammed, you jump to the NDC; and if you’re in the NDC and finally gain some sense, you run back to the NPP.” He further advised Kyerematen to seek therapy and come back when he’s “gathered his senses.”

To add more fuel to the fire, Jumah boldly claimed that Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party could outperform Kyerematen and his Movement for Change in the upcoming elections. With such a stinging insult, Jumah is clearly throwing down the gauntlet as the stakes ramp up in Ghana’s already charged political arena.

As the battle for the presidency heats up, Kyerematen’s strategy hangs in the balance. Will he take Jumah’s advice to heart, or will he double down on his independent quest for the highest office? One thing’s for sure: Ghana’s political drama is just getting started, and it’s bound to get even messier!
