Tafo MP Vincent Ekow Assafuah just got a brutal legal reality check with a free law lesson—whether he asked for it or not! Legal firebrand Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo has ripped into Assafuah’s challenge against the President’s handling of the triple petition against the Chief Justice, branding it a total misfire.
Reacting to the MP’s legal suit, Edudzi made it clear that the law speaks for itself—and it doesn’t say what Assafuah is claiming.
“146(6) is crystal clear! No room for confusion!” Edudzi fired. “The President has NO duty to hear the CJ before consulting the Council of State. The actual removal process starts right after that consultation, not before.”
Slamming what he sees as a desperate attempt to rewrite the rules, Edudzi reminded Assafuah that this isn’t uncharted territory.
“The same process was used to remove Charlotte Osei—why a different standard now? You want special laws for the CJ?” he quipped.
With the legal heat turned up, it looks like Assafuah may need more than just a lawsuit to argue his case—maybe a refresher on constitutional law.
