A resident of Tafi in the Volta Region is very disappointed at the seemingly neglect of the people of Tafi and accused the Regional Minister, Dr. Yao Achibald Letsa of discrimination against them.
In a statement copied to thehawkghana.com. Richard K. Adzdu claimed Dr Letsa has deliberately refused to attend any festival in their area since he became the Regional Minister.
He argued that per the established protocols if a minister is unable to attend such functions, the Deputy Minister is delegated to represent him or her but same cannot be said of Dr Letsa as their Regional Minister.

CONTINUOUS BOYCOTT OF TAFI FESTIVALS BY THE VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER IS HIGHLY DISCRIMINATORY.
I have observed with utmost disgust and disappointment the continuous absence of the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa at Tafi festivals especially that of Tafi Abuife Keporte (Kente) festival.
It is on record that Dr. Letsa has never honored any festival invitation by the Tafi people as the regional minister.
One cannot comprehend why the regional minister, who is the representative of HE Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in the Volta Region continues to boycott important festivals of the minority guans in the region without any tangible reason(s).
This action and inaction of the Volta Regional Minister is highly discriminatory and must be condemn by all.
I am very much aware that per the established protocols if the minister is unable to attend such functions, the Deputy minister is delegated to represent him but same cannot be said of our regional minister.
I am by this statement calling on the NPP leadership in the Volta Region to as a matter of urgency impress on the regional minister to render unqualified apology to the chiefs and good people of Tafi land especially Tafi Abuife for his continuous boycott of their festivals.
Also, I want to remind the Minister that betrayal of his own oath of office can cause him his juicy job as the Volta Regional Minister for he has not been appointed to serve only specific groups in the region but all Voltarians irrespective of their social status.
