A former Salt Pond Area Development Project Manager (ADP) under World Vision Ghana (WVG), Elikplim Akrugu, has said that her political agenda for 2020 is to stop Sarah Adwoa Sarfo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Dome- Kwabenya from winning the Constituency.

Madam Elipklim Akrugu, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Daboo Ventures, declared on Saturday that the essence of her agenda was to “disrupt and end the political dominance, governance stagnation and retrogression the continuous election of the NPP has cost the good people of Dome- Kwabenya.

“Enough is enough,” she said, when addressed party gathering on Saturday as part of activities to celebrate her birth day.

“My political agenda is simple. I shall make sure we break the so-called dominance of NPP in the 2020. ‘I have the antidote to foil the clandestine operations of the NPP. I am ready for the challenge ahead of us, she said to a cheerful gathering of party stakeholders.

“Our individual effort to campaign against NPP in the 2020 elections may not amount to much, unless we work together as one unit’.

“My conviction is that it is time to end the tyranny of rulership of a wickedness visited on the people of Dome-Kwabenya, she said.

Counsellor Eliplim’s position reflects the general discontentment among electorates against the constituency’s political leadership.

Dome-Kwabenya, with the ruling party winning over thirty thousand votes, yet most of its population still live in abject poverty and driving and rotten roads.

She said, the historic defeat of the ruling NPP in the 2020 elections should end the NPP’s political dominance and gIve the people hope of a new beginning.

The Legislator of the Area, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo and her party – the NPP – have been severely criticized as being incapable of tackling the nation’s many challenges, including the poor road network in the constituency.

Touting her experience in community service, she said “Whether many other citizens feel the way one feels about our political status quo does not matter. Standing up for what I believe is what one was raised to epitomize.

“It is sickening to watch the repetition of a similar pattern of bad behavior by our political class,” she said.

Counselor Elikplim is campaigning on equipping Branch officers with the needed skills via grooming, creating equal opportunities for all, and safeguarding their resolve and managing electoral process.

The six (6) languages speaking Elikplim says she comes as the answer to the long-standing apathy within NDC members in the constituency.
