In a determined push for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 election campaign, dynamic youth activist Emmanuel Senyo Amekplenu has spearheaded efforts to bring a new community information centre to the Anlo Constituency. Over the weekend, Amekplenu handed over a suite of equipment, which was received with enthusiasm by Anlo Constituency Chairman Joseph K. Adranyi and parliamentary candidate and District Chief Executive Seth Yormewu.
Amekplenu, a stalwart in the NPP’s grassroots mobilisation efforts, shared his vision for the equipment, hoping it will serve as a powerful hub for energising the youth of Anlo and driving home the party’s message. “Supporting Anlo and other constituencies with information centre equipment has always been a personal goal,” Amekplenu remarked. “This isn’t merely about erecting an information centre; it’s about constructing a movement. It’s a space where our vision for the future of Anlo and the wider Volta region can come to life. The youth are at the heart of this transformation, and we’re equipping them with the tools to spark real change.”
The equipment has been purposefully donated to enhance communication in the constituency and offer a dedicated space for the NPP’s campaign events. With plans to use the centre for rallies, town hall meetings, and other grassroots gatherings, the NPP is positioning itself to engage the community directly on key issues affecting Anlo’s future.
This strategic step comes as the NPP looks to expand its influence in traditionally opposition-held areas such as Anlo, which has long shown strong support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Despite this history, Amekplenu is confident that the new centre will act as a beacon for NPP support and a focal point for increasing grassroots mobilisation across the region
