The Service Excellence Foundation, operating under the auspices of the Ghana Tourism Federation and affiliated with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), has announced its preparedness to host the prestigious Industry Customer Service Excellence Awards, also known as the I.C.E. Awards 2023. The event is set to take place on October 7, 2023, at the luxurious Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
In a media statement, Mr Caleb Kofie, the Executive Director of the Service Excellence Foundation and the National Tourism Customer Service Brand Ambassador for Ghana, shared that the I.C.E. Awards 2023 serves as a platform within the private sector to honour exceptional individuals, both locally and internationally, who have consistently championed Service Excellence and innovation in their respective fields. The event will also shine a spotlight on the significance and impact of customer service/experience excellence within the tourism and hospitality industry.
Mr Kofie stressed, “To promote customer service excellence as a strategic tool for sustainable job creation, fostering investor confidence, and accelerating economic growth within the tourism and hospitality sector, it is crucial to take a moment to reflect and celebrate individuals of excellence who have made significant contributions to the development and growth of our industry.”
This year’s event, themed “Celebrating Excellence, Leadership, and Innovation,” aligns with the National Tourism Customer Service Week (NAKOFEST 2023), an annual October celebration aimed at recognizing industry employees and customers while collectively addressing service delivery challenges.
The awards ceremony will bring together key figures from the public and private sectors, including business leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, traditional leaders, and representatives from the media fraternity.
