The Management of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital has misappropriated donations meant to help ward off worrisome coronavirus by spending One Hundred and sixteen-thousand dollars to buy cars for the comfort of the Chief Executive Office Dr. Oheheba Owusu Danso and the Medical Director, Prof. Baafour Poku.
Morning Show Host at Kumasi based Opemsuo Radio, Agudey Akwesi, has alleged that rather than judiciously managing funds donated to contain the pandemic at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, the hospital managers resolved to misapply the relief funds on luxury cars.
He made the allegation on his timeline on facebook on Friday 24th September, 2021.
It would be recalled that business mogul Dr. Osei-Kwame, known as Despite and brother Mr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong donated $100,000 to Komfo Anokye Hospital to help the facility combat the Coronavirus disease.
The cash of Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100.000) which were in plain plastic bag was delivered to the hospital authorities on Friday March 27, 2020 to help the hospital quickly acquire all the necessary personal protective equipment (PPES) needed to combat the Coronavirus.
Similarly, Ghanaian international footballer Kwadwo Asamoah has joined Country’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic by making a cash donation of $20,000.
The cheque was presented on behalf of the left-back to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH)
However, Agudey Akwesi is alleging that the Board of KATH have decided to purchase two Toyota Camrys.
He said, the cost of the two cars stood at $116,000 dollars.

He identified Professor Baafour Kofi Opoku, and Chief Executive as the beneficiaries of the financial malfeasance.
Agudey, who has for weeks been accusing the Hospital Managers of misappropriation, said he had evidence of his allegation.
