President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Saturday, ignored prominent figures within his party, including financier and Assin Central Lawmaker Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former Trade Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten and his spouse, and former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko.

The incident occurred during the final funeral rites of Martin Kwabena Kwakye, known as Wofa KK, at the forecourt of the State House. Kwabena Kwakye, a broadcast journalist was with Oman 107.1FM, a subsidiary of Kencity Media, whence an employee of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong before his passing.
Normally, mourners are expected to offer condolences to the immediate family and relations of the deceased.

However, President Akufo-Addo appeared to bypass Alan Kyeremanten, Kennedy Agyapong, and Boakye Agyarko upon his arrival at the funeral ground, greeting only a select few before taking his seat.

A viral video captured the moment Akufo-Addo paid his respects to the deceased along with the Chief of Staff before greeting family and relatives seated under a different tent. He then proceeded to the tent reserved for government and party officials, where he exchanged greetings and took his seat.

Typically, he would extend greetings to high-profile guests before proceeding to the dais, but in this instance, there was minimal acknowledgment.
Afterward, the Assin Central Lawmaker was seen making his way to the presidential tent to extend a welcome to the president for attending the funeral of his employee.
