Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaian voters to throw their full support behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, whom he describes as the ideal leader for the country’s current moment.

In a compelling video presentation aired at the launch of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto, Kufuor underscored his belief that Bawumia is the right person to steer Ghana’s future. He praised Bawumia’s extensive experience as an economist and his significant role in the digitization of Ghana’s economy.

“We are entreating the nation to give Bawumia a chance. I see him as a man of destiny, particularly for the moment we are in now. I believe he is the man of the moment,” Kufuor asserted.
Highlighting Bawumia’s accomplishments, Kufuor lauded the Vice President’s digitization initiatives, which he believes are crucial for the country’s progress. He emphasized that Bawumia’s background in economics, combined with his political acumen, makes him uniquely qualified to lead Ghana.

“The whole world is talking about digitalization. Bawumia is cut for the occasion, custom-made. He studied politics, and he was born into politics, because of his loyalty to the tradition which is why the party gave him a chance to lead,” Kufuor said.

Kufuor expressed confidence that Bawumia’s leadership will foster sound international relationships and implement effective social policies. He described Bawumia as a candidate who understands geopolitics and is well-suited to address both economic and social challenges.

“The manifesto our candidate will present will be accepted by all Ghanaians, with the hope that he is the man of the moment,” Kufuor concluded, urging voters to support Bawumia and the NPP in the upcoming elections.

The former president’s endorsement of Bawumia underscores the NPP’s strategy to leverage the Vice President’s achievements and vision as they campaign for the 2024 general elections.
