Ernest Yaw Anim, MP in waiting

Ernest Yaw Anim, the newly elected NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Kumawu by-election, has rejected claims of affiliation with the Alan Kyeremanten faction.

He emphasized that his primary victory was not due to the support of any NPP presidential aspirant and that his priority is to unify the party.

Meanwhile, former MP for Manhyia North, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah had alleged in a viral video that Mr Yaw Anim was part of the Alan Kyeremanten camp and suggested that his win was a win for Alan Kyeremanten.

However, in a press release from Mr Yaw Anim’s Campaign Team’s Communications Directorate, they strongly denied being part of any faction within the NPP, including the Alan divide.

They noted that the primary election was a local contest among family members with no national implications. The Campaign Team advised against taking Hon. Amankwah’s comments seriously and emphasized that Mr Yaw Anim’s campaign focus was on unifying the Kumawu Constituency.

They emphasized that the message of unity resonated with the delegates, leading to Mr Yaw Anim’s victory.
