Ghana @ 64: Pupils attend school with kitchen stool


The Assembly member for Kansawrodo,Ntankoful, and Mampong electoral area of the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan in the Western Region of Ghana, Mr. Isaac Hagan has expressed worry about how pupils in his electoral area attend school with Kitchen stool.

The Assembly member in an interview with the media said, some of the schools he visited carry kitchen stool to school.

He added that the situation is very alarming as pupils in this 21st century will covey kitchen stools to school.

“It’s very worrying that this day and age school children will carry kitchen stool to school to sit on before they can learn.”

The Assembly member affirmed that he has sent several petitions to Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly for amicable solutions but “all have fallen on deaf ears and nothing good has come out of it”.

He consequently appealed to benevolent groups or individuals to come to their aid, thus at least purchase furniture for the children.
