Kofi Iddie Adams, the Buem Member of Parliament, has urged the Board of Governors of Bueman Senior High School (BUSHS) in the Jasikan Municipality to reflect more deeply on the school’s mission and develop strategies to adapt to changing times.
The Buem Legislature believes that the Board of Governors requires a new vision, mission, and plan to propel the school beyond its current achievements.
He encouraged the Board to conduct the revision process based on thorough research and data analysis.
‘To move Bueman Senior High School to a greater pedestal than it is today, the Board is encouraged to revise the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the school in line with the current developmental needs. School Improvement Plan (SIP) should also be reviewed/developed based on needs assessment. These revisions should be based on research and data and should be implemented in a way that is cost-effective and sustainable’.
On Tuesday, 2nd May 2023, during the inauguration ceremony of the reconstituted Board of Governors at Turgbui Akotia Hall, Johnson Tsyawo, representing Kofi Iddie Adams, read a speech in which the aforementioned recommendation was made.
He stressed the significance of the Board of Governors in the school’s operation, stating that the Board holds the responsibility to offer direction and leadership, and set the vision and mission for the school community.
He acknowledged the long and distinguished history of academic excellence and athletic dominance, as well as other fields that offer students a well-rounded education during their studies.
According to him, ‘Bueman Senior High School is an essential component of his priority areas, under his flagship project known as ‘The Buem Project’
Kofi Adams believes that educational institutions are crucial for the realization of The Buem Project.
“As a member of Parliament, I Kofi Adams wish to pledge my total support and commitment to the development and progress of Bueman Senior High School. I have a vision for the total development of Buem which we have titled ‘The Buem Project’. We have commenced this project in earnest. This project cannot be realized if we leave our educational institutions behind. The progress of BUSEC is one of my priority areas.
